When it comes to destination weddings, Napa Valley is not simply a place, it is a feeling, a rhythm, and a return to what grounds us. After traveling extensively through Napa, Sonoma, and California wine country during my years as a regional wine sales representative and through my studies as a sommelier, coming back to Napa has always felt like coming home. There is an intimacy to the land here, a reverence for craft and hospitality, that mirrors the way we approach our work at Alta Amour.
This March, I set off on a cross-country road trip that began in Napa, chasing a long-held dream of standing on the soil of the venues that have shaped my inspiration and intention for who we are and how we serve our clients. It was a pilgrimage of sorts, one rooted in slowing down, reconnecting with place, and experiencing Napa not just as planners, but as guests. I brought along two incredible creatives, Diana Coulter and Jess Leigh, whose artistry and perspective elevated every moment of the journey.

At Auberge Stanly Ranch, modern architecture unfolds against working farmland, where chef-driven dining, thoughtful wellness, and expansive landscapes create weddings that feel grounded yet elevated, a place where design-forward couples can host immersive weekends that feel effortlessly refined.

Auberge Solage offers a more playful expression of luxury, pairing contemporary resort living with deep ties to Napa’s culinary and wellness culture, ideal for celebrations that balance sophistication with relaxed, celebratory energy.

Silverado Resort & Spa brings a sense of heritage and scale, where sprawling grounds, historic charm, and multiple event settings allow for thoughtfully layered weekends that unfold naturally over time.

And at Four Seasons Napa Valley, understated elegance meets vineyard immersion, offering a seamless blend of world-class service, intimate gathering spaces, and a hospitality experience designed to make every guest feel exquisitely cared for. Not to mention, a dining experience at their Michelin-starred Auro is not to be missed.
Together, these properties exemplify what makes Napa Valley such a powerful canvas for destination weddings: a commitment to culinary excellence, a deep respect for land and craft, and lodging that invites guests to gather, linger, and truly connect. During this journey, we had the rare opportunity to slow down, to touch the earth, taste what was grown steps away, breathe in the vineyards, and experience the full immersion of Napa Valley through both an industry lens and a deeply personal one. It is an experience I will cherish for a lifetime, and one that continues to shape how we design celebrations rooted in place, story, and intention.
