Meet Meridith
From Cabo San Lucas to “la dolce vita” in Italy and sought-after destinations
After nearly two decades in hospitality and event planning, I founded Alta Amour to blend my award-winning wedding experience with the places that are a deeper part of our stories. I’ve never been one to work at just one venue or with just one short list of vendors — it’s always been about hand-selecting the local talent, building relationships that lead to friendships, finding the right landscapes, and identifying the personal details your event deserves. I believe the magic happens when you surround yourself with trusted creative professionals, deepening bonds and enriching possibilities.
Prior to becoming an award-winning wedding planner, I studied Psychology and Sociology, and worked as a Sales, Marketing & Event Director at a five-star dining institution in Vail, followed by my role as Senior Event Sales Manager at Four Seasons Vail. Altogether, I have spent more than 15 years in the luxury event space. I’m also a partner at Gemini Planning & Design—one of Colorado’s most established and highly rated planning firms—as well as Manua Creative, alongside my business bestie, Jennifer Pletcher.

I’m endlessly curious about the world, always chasing new places, meeting new people, and discovering the stories that connect us. What truly lights me up, though, is the art of gathering with evenings spent over food, drinks, laughter, and stories with friends old and new. (Likely why I became a Level II Sommelier.) My two children and favorite travel buddies, Max and Freya, are always by my side, reminding me that the best adventures and the most memorable moments are the ones shared with those you love.
I thrive on an active lifestyle (hiking, yoga, snowboarding, working out), especially in Colorado’s open spaces, where nature inspires me to slow down.
Senior Producer
Jennifer is a seasoned event producer and creative director with a unique background as a marine biologist, having worked with whales and dolphins around the world, including years in Hawaii. She founded Gemini Events in Colorado in 2017 and Mauna Creative in Hawaii in 2020, producing exceptional events for both local and destination clients.
As Founder & Creative Director of both firms—and Senior Producer at Alta Amour—Jennifer brings precision, creativity, and calm leadership to luxury celebrations for an international clientele. Known for her gracious, experience-driven approach, she guides couples through a seamless planning process and flawlessly executed wedding weekend.
Jennifer has served as Director of Education for WIPA and, alongside Meridith Lowe, is a Knot Hall of Fame award winner, with features in BRIDES, People Magazine, Over the Moon, and more. She is also sought after worldwide as an event and venue consultant.

It is through travel that I honor my late mother. I was a landlocked Colorado girl whose world changed at 20 years old when my mom unexpectedly passed away. I found solace and freedom through that loss by traveling to new places, finding myself immersed in late-night conversations over simple spreads of baguettes, cheese and wine.
To be present with family or new friends is a gift, and by planning gatherings around the world, I find myself at home in a distinct and impactful way.
